10 Things To Be Grateful For In Quarantine

Recently I started a social (and most other) media fast.

At this point, there is a vast surplus of misleading or misinformed information being spread out of fear or to illicit panic, thus more viewership, as a response.

Since I started my fast, I have felt immensely positive even with everything going on. However I have noticed that with almost everything being closed in my city, I don’t have anywhere to go except the different rooms of my apartment. So out of boredom I started thinking more about me and why I am still extremely happy and grateful to be where I am today.

Many of you have probably surpassed the point of boredom if you are also in an area with a temporary lockdown. You also may be out of work and feeling anxious or scared. So it is very important to maintain as many habits as you can and be grateful. Gratitude helps everything be seen in a slightly more positive light, and will keep you inspired and motivated when things are hard.

Below are 10 things to be grateful for when times are hard and you are stuck:

  1. Being alive
  2. Being healthy
  3. A house to sleep in
  4. Food to eat
  5. Opportunities to work remotely
  6. Music
  7. Family/friends
  8. Coffee
  9. The internet
  10. Running water

What are you grateful for?

Find at least 2 things and write them somewhere you will see them multiple times every day. This shouldn’t be very hard since most of you are stuck at home anyways!

Do this every day for 2 weeks and see how you feel. I am willing to bet that even if this quarantine is still going, you will feel a bit better about your own situation.
