In 2015, amidst the rapid evolution of digital technology, Accenture embarked on a crucial strategic shift:

Transitioning to the public cloud.

As a global professional services powerhouse, this decision marked a significant inflection point in the company’s technology and service delivery approach.

Who’s Accenture?

Accenture is a massive global professional services company specializing in everything from consulting to technology services. Given the nature of their work, staying updated with the latest tech trends and offering state-of-the-art solutions is business-critical.

Before 2015, like many large organizations, Accenture had a colossal on-prem infrastructure. Managing and maintaining such massive infrastructures was a substantial task, and it often meant a lot of capital expenditure and operational effort.

Why the Public Cloud?

The public cloud promised a lot: scalability, agility, cost-efficiency, and innovation at a speed previously unimaginable. Accenture saw the potential benefits of harnessing the cloud for themselves and the thousands of clients they served globally.
