In general yes that is totally an option, it’s a little weird nowadays though because tech companies in general are being stingy about hiring.

However at a good company with a good culture yes you can for sure be brought in as a more junior role, and they will take a couple weeks to train you up on the technologies, stacks, etc that they currently use.
