Nice viewpoint, I would argue that mindfulness is more important than avoidance when it comes to bad habits.
Particularly because we are all humans, and humans make mistakes and choose bad ideas to act on every now and then.

If you can be aware of your habits and your train of thought, it is much easier to change direction as opposed to fighting habits that will come up anyways.
