Does anybody even want it?

It’s not hard to find stories about people giving “self-help” advice.

In fact, I would bet that if you open your Medium feed right now, you will see a handful of stories with headlines like these:

“How to launch solopreneur career and make money online”

“These techniques will help you achieve 90% of your goals”

“I turned 30 today; Here are 30 valuable life lessons”

Does anybody want my advice?

This is a question many content creators need to ask themselves. What makes you qualified enough to where people should take your advice and follow your suggestions? Your followers count? Life experience? Your bank account?

Usually, the answer is no. Nobody wants your advice, mr (or ms) random online writer. People generally don’t care as much about your stuff and your experiences as you do.

I don’t know about you, but when I want advice I turn to my wife, family, or close friends.

To give good advice, you need to know somebody

The decisions we make every day are so radically different from other people’s decisions.
