You’re Stuck In A Cycle That Never Ends
Until you admit that it is real
There’s an old saying from Alcoholics Anonymous that goes, “Nothing changes if nothing changes”.
Knowing how human behavior, habits, and routines work, I have to argue that this is indeed a true statement. Humans are creatures of habit, and once we ingrain a certain routine or pattern of behavior it subconsciously repeats itself.
The main issue though, is that having the mind automatically do things for us is both a blessing and a curse. It can more or less automatically drive you home from work while your thinking mind is engaged in thoughts about various things, but it can also automatically have you reach for junk food, drugs, and the tv remote right when you get home as well.
I’m not here to say you must be perfect and shouldn’t ever have any vices.
What I am saying, is that some cycles of behavior are more or less beneficial to us and our well being. It is only through self observation and awareness that we are able to recognize the cycles we are in and changes ourselves (if desired).
It is up to you
to undertake the introspection required to determine what you want from life, and what is or is not important to you in regards to your actions and behaviors. Additionally, you must…
